At exhaust-coatings.co.uk we pride ourselves in helping custom builders produce the perfect look and finish to their creations.  Paul Beamish, owner of Krazy Horse Customs, takes great pride in his custom built rod and zeroesque bike and requires a high standard for all its components.

We were delighted when Paul contacted us requiring his custom built exhaust system on the rod and zeroesque bike to be finished in matt black to complement and contrast the rest of the rod and zeroesque features. The ceramic coating that exhaust-coatings.co.uk suggested for Paul's Rod and bike was the Black Velvet coating which gives a matt black finish.

Paul's Rod and zeroesque bike required the exhaust systems to be coated using our cerakote high temperature ceramic coating. This coating has been tested to 1100 degrees centigrade and 6500 hours of salt spaying, resulting in no discolouring, flaking or pealing. The thermal barrier coating contains more radiant heat which protects other engine components and also gives the perfect desired smooth finish required on custom made show pieces. The heat is held within the pipes and not radiated, therefore the hotter the exhaust gasses become the faster the gas flows. The end result offers better efficiency, less combustion camber contamination, which in return provides better performance. Therefore, less heat to surrounding components also means longer life and more reliability to parts.

The procedure prior to the coating involves all components sand blasted, then cleaned again before the coating is applied to components and baked. After cooling the component is then ready for packaging and dispatch back to the customer. The whole process from receiving to dispatching components takes 7-10 working days.

Paul Beamish contacted us a few days after receiving his exhaust systems to say that he was very pleased with the coating and the finish. The exhaust systems were then tested when Paul drove his custom built Rod/bike and trailer to a show in Belgium. Paul contacted us on return from the show and we are delighted to report that the exhaust pipes looked like new with no discolouring, flaking or bubbling and paul was very pleased with the results.
